Good to Know

  1. The keys are locked in the car at a sports field. How do you find me? Tell us the park and the parking area, and stay near the car.
  2. Do you work on townhouse doors with a handle set and a deadbolt? Yes. We open, rekey or change both.
  3. Can I call on a Sunday morning? Yes. Sundays are like any other day for us.
  4. The only car key I had is lost somewhere on the paths around the lake. Now what? Stop searching the grass. Call with the car's details and the spot where it's parked, and the new key gets made there.
  5. The deadbolt is locked and I'm outside. Can you still get me in? Yes. Deadbolts are harder to open than knob locks, but we can usually manage without drilling. If drilling turns out to be the only way, we tell you first and can fit a new lock.
  6. Is Columbia actually a city? Not officially. James Rouse founded it in 1967 as a planned community, and it has never incorporated. It's part of Howard County, which we cover from our Baltimore base.
