Good to Know

  1. Can you make a fob if I lost the only one? Yes. We program a new fob to the car on site.
  2. Will the lost fob still work if someone finds it? When we program the new fob, we can make the lost one stop working in your car.
  3. Do you come to Savage early in the morning? Yes. We work 24 hours a day.
  4. The house door is locked and my keys are inside. Will you have to drill? Rarely. Picking the lock usually does it, and the key you already have still works.
  5. Is there anything historic by the river? Yes. The Bollman Truss Railroad Bridge, built in 1852 and moved to its spot in 1887. It is the only bridge of its type in the world.
  6. Where does the name Savage come from? John Savage, a Philadelphia merchant who had a stake in a mill at the falls of the Little Patuxent.
  7. The trunk button on our fob stopped working, though lock and unlock still do. Is the whole fob done for? Not always. Often the rubber pad or a contact beneath that single button has worn through. We take the fob apart and check each button. A working board can be fitted into a fresh case; a failed one means coding a replacement fob to the car, which depends on year and trim.
