Storefront Door Locks

Glass-and-aluminum shop doors have a thin frame, so they use a slim lock with a hook-shaped bolt rather than a house-style deadbolt. If that bolt no longer hooks into the frame, or the cylinder is worn out, we adjust the lock or fit a new one made for that narrow door.

Push Bars (Panic Bars)

Back and side exits often have a push bar so people can leave in a hurry. When the bar sticks, the latch stops catching, or the outside trim won't lock, we repair the bar or swap it for a new one. Staff who need to come in through that door can get a key cylinder on the outside.

  4. Could our office door get a keypad lock instead of keys? Yes. Each person gets a code, and a code can be removed without touching the lock. Most models keep a key cylinder as a backup. The Keypad & Smart Locks page (linked below) has more.
  5. We have too many keys for too many doors. What can you do? A master key system gives everyone a key to just the doors they use, while the owner's key opens all of them. The Master Key Systems page (linked below) explains how it is set up.
  6. A break-in damaged our shop's lock. Can it be fixed on the same visit? Usually. We replace the forced lock or cylinder so the door secures again. If the door or frame is bent, we tell you what it needs before we start.
