Before We Get There

  • Count the doors to rekey: front, back, side, garage and basement.
  • Tell us if any lock is a keypad or smart lock.
  • Tell us the moving truck's time, so we can work before it arrives.

Good to Know

  1. Should I rekey or change the locks in a new house? Rekeying is usually enough. If the locks are worn or you want a new look, we change them.
  2. Can you rekey a keypad or smart lock too? Yes. Tell us the brand and we'll bring what we need.
  3. Can you come before the movers on a Saturday? Yes. Weekends are normal hours for us.
  4. Our only car key is gone, and the car is parked at home. Can you make one there? Yes. We make it in your driveway or garage with no original to copy, then pair it to the car. Keep your registration and ID close by.
  5. The deadbolt is locked and the knob won't turn. Can you open both? Yes. We open the deadbolt and the knob lock, usually without drilling, and both still work afterward.
  6. How did Lutherville get its name? Two Lutheran ministers, Benjamin Kurtz and John Gottlieb Morris, founded it in 1852 and named it for Martin Luther. It grew up around the Lutherville Female Seminary, chartered in 1853.
